2012 was as an eventful year for the analytics market with nearly 72 percent of businesses in the U.S. increasing their spending on analytics, which resulted in a large supply gap at all levels of data analytics talent. Due to this, companies were reluctant to offshore their business to emerging economies such as India, China or Brazil. It was also the time when 80 percent of all top analytics executives in India quoted ‘lack of analytics talent’ as their biggest challenge. This was an opportunity for professional training institutes in the country to attract fresh graduates and working professionals to dive into the analytics market.
